As for 'Cancel Culture', as you rightly point out, it's just another handy catch phrase for the right-wing outrage machine. Something else they can use to distract the base from the corruption at "head office".

Btw, in Australia there's an underground group called MFB (Mad Fucking Bitches) who specifically target the worst of the right wing mouthpieces - especially those supported by Murdoch Media. This group of (largely) women actively discourage advertisers from supporting various media 'shock jocks', most recently Alan Jones - a vile misogynist and right-wing power broker. Jones had three media gigs cancelled in less than a year because of declining ad revenues - thanks to their efforts.

It was beautiful to behold.
