I wonder what might happen if women explicitly start withholding consent to be impregnated? Such that if they become pregnant, the man in the scenario is culpable not just for childcare, but for all the other economic and mental health impacts of carrying an unwanted pregnancy. If women could sue men for lost income, lost potential income, career interruption, harm to mental health as well as the cost of actually carrying and raising a child, perhaps some attitudes towards abortion might change?
